The World Cup 2010 is possibly the biggest sporting event to hit the planet. This is the football or soccer world cup depending on where you live!

In the USA and Australia, it’s called Soccer – however in most other parts of the world, especially Europe is referred to as Football.

Some suggest ‘The World Game’ as its called, is bigger than the Olympics with the World Cup 2010 having billions of viewers from every corner of the globe and in almost every country.

Run by FIFA, the World Cup consists of 32 teams that have qualified for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa and must complete a ‘Group Stage’ before progressing to the ‘Qualifiers’ which are virtually the semi finals of the World Cup.

Some of the greatest sporting moments from the World Cup have not only come from leading goalscorers or international superstars, but from penalty shootouts where each team and all the countries fans are desperately holding on to 5 kicks from their players to edge out the other team.

You can find out the full Soccer World Cup 2010 schedule and draw at the official Fifa World Cup site: ( Fifa.com/Worldcup )

It’s always a good idea to check for World Cup 2010 updates at the official fifa site. You’ll see worldcup game photos, live scores, news, tickets to worldcup games and hospitality information.

Some of the hot topics and news around the world cup relate to who can win the World Cup in 2010? Big name sides Italy always fare well, as do Argentina. Brazil and Spain.

But what about some good value, long shot picks?

England are always in the mix, and have been unlucky for many years. USA have been on the improve with soccer for many years and could be an outside chance for the World Cup in 2010.

Germany are ready to make a good charge at the World Cup this year according to insiders. And recent improvers Australia and New Zealand have proven hard opponents in recent years.

It all makes for exciting soccer and with the videos and updates coming from South Africa for this years World Cup it’s sure to be an amazing tournament!

The demand for dating and free matchmaking services is quite substantial. I’ve recently witnessed the explosion of the eharmony dating website, which is well established in the USA but has expanded to regions such as Australia and other parts of the world.

The thing with dating, matchmaking and free dating websites, is that they are worldwide. Pretty much every country has large amounts of people or population looking to meet partners (all in a wide variety of ages).

The beauty of computer dating, is that it allows people to meet safely, exchange emails, pictures and decide if a first date is a good idea.

In the first instances, computer dating was ’specially matched’ where partners would be selected depending on interests, background, beliefs and looks in some cases.

In some countries, and poorer regions such as South America, Thailand, Vietnam and parts of Russia – dating has become a huge industry.

Girls are sought and catalogued and matched with usually older men, the men based on earnings will in some cases pay a fee to meet the girl and if initial dates work out, the relationship can continue from there.

It seems more and more age difference in relationships is becoming less of a focus, as couples look harder at background, earning capability and the future with a husband or wife.

Expect to see growth in websites such as Plenty of Fish dating, eHarmony and RSVP where you can seek partners (initially free) and in some scenarios be matched with dates and begin a strong and healthy relationship or even seek a short term relationship for meetups in your part of the world.

Young pop singer Justin Bieber has become a music sensation in the past few months, after first coming to light on Youtube with his amazing voice and ever growing fan base, Justin Bieber was soon courted by major artists Usher and Justin Timberlake who wanted to sign him to their record labels.

Just check out the activity and info on Justin Bieber on twitter, he is constantly the ‘buzz’ topic and regularly features on the most trending web searches!

His major hit was ‘One Time‘ which has had nearly 40 million views on youtube.

His most recent work includes collaboration with f/ Ludacris – Baby ludacris –

But is the music business as lucrative as it once was? With so many online chasing free Justin Bieber mp3’s just like every other artist, the opportunity to make money is much smaller these days when selling CDs and music videos. As so many fans and Gen Y folk just download Justin Bieber’s music vids free and content from the internet from torrent sites, rapidshare and other free gimmick stores online.

Other youngsters have asked Justin Bieber to marry them! Go on a date with them and come to their country and play a concert!

How old is Justin Bieber? Believe it, he is only 16 years old and he was born in 1994. But wait for it, his achievments already include being the only artist in Billboard history to have four singles from a debut album chart in the Top 40 of the Hot 100 before the album’s release.

Born in Canada, Justin Bieber started in music when 12 years old. He initially started doing cover versions of songs by Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake.

Scooter Braun, a who used to be high up the food chain at So So Def, found the online Justin Bieber videos, and arranged for Bieber to get to Atlanta, Georgia, where he met with leading R&B singer/songwriter Usher.

With success in the Top40 in the USA, Canada and around the world. Bieber will now look to tour the world and perform live at various concerts where tickets will surely be hard to buy given the demand for this young fast-rising singer.

Justin Bieber also appeals to a massive audience, from young teenagers especially girls through to parents who like his clean cut pop top40 style as opposed to the sometimes frowned upon rap and hip hop hits by current major artists such as Jayz, Akon, Eminem, Tpain, Chris Brown and Kanye West to name a few. With some artists swearing in their songs and many getting airplay on radio stations – Justin Beiber remains a breath of fresh air and a change welcomed by many listeners and MP3 fans.

How do you tell the difference between a Thai Girl or Thai Lady and a thai lady-boy? With the female companion industry in Thailand so expansive – many thai men will change their gender to cash in on the tourism and interest from visitors all around the world.

Many parts are Thailand are hubs for night activity, locations such as Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya are popular with tourists and those taking vacation to Thai hotspots will in many cases seek Thai girls.

Because of this high demand, and the possibility for thai girls and their families to earn money from the tourists, they in many cases wish for girls over boys in the poorer regions. Hence, so many young thai men opt to have a gender change.

While operations for gender change in Thailand aren’t too expensive when compared with the rest of the world – the doctors ability to perform plastic surgery and other operations isn’t always top notch. It’s usually a case of you get what you pay for.

For tourists taking a thai girl back to their hotel, they need to be sure the girl they take on a date isn’t really a man in disguise.

What should you look for to tell if it’s a thai lady or a thai lady-boy?

Well first, check out the body language. The lady-boys will usually ‘over do it’ in terms of the hand movement, also look for the adams-apple (although some operations will take the adams apple out). Expect to see makeup overdone and applied largely.

The good news is, when choosing a thai date, the area in which you look for girls (or lady boys) will determine your chances of success.

For instance, in Patong (Phuket, Thailand) areas around the Tiger Complex, Soi Sea Dragon and Hollywood and Taipan are usually lady-boy free. However, Soi Crocodile will house a lot of lady-boys as will Baya Beach nightclub at times (usually late, after hours).

In many instances, common sense will prevail. However, beware as lady-boys can sometimes opt to ’steal’ ‘fight’ and harrass potential tourists as an additional way to get funds. (as they don’t always get as many customers as the thai ladies or girls)

There is so much to do in Bangkok, especially at night – where do you start? Well, the centerpiece of Bangkok Nightlife is the Girls.

From live club shows including tricks with ping-pong balls and darts, the Bangkok Nightlife Girls are expert entertainers.

Most visitors and tourists to Bangkok will enjoy cheap, discounted shopping during the day. Generally inexpensive clothes, electronics and souvenirs are snapped up by those on vacation in Bangkok Thailand.

Clean, quality accommodation in central Bangkok is readily available at a low price. Plenty of choice and close to the airport, you can expect though to do a little bit of traveling to find the best Nightlife spots in and around Bangkok.

Because traffic can be hectic, look to use the skytrain or a taxi motorcycle in Bangkok to negate the snarling traffic lines of cars.

Unlike nightclubs and go-go bars in Patong, Phuket or say Pattaya – in Bangkok everything is spread out. Popular nightlife girl spots such as Soi Cowboy which is a huge almost themepark like setup of pubs, clubs, discotheques and go-go bars with pretty, good looking Thai Girls all waving at you.

Other popular spots in and around Bangkok nightlife are in the Nana Plaza Area. The place Nana Plaza is like the Las Vegas of the gambling world, except were talking Thai Girls and Thai Lady Boys in this instance. Forget dating, this is a playground for tourists and those on vacation in Thailand looking for a short-time with a Thaigirl.

Other popular streets and attractions are Soi 33 Sukhumvit, if you like Karaoke and theming in the mould of Japanese then check out Soi Thaniya. Also, don’t forget to visit Patpong. It is two small streets (Soi) running between Silom Rd and Suriwong Rd named Patpong 1 and Patpong 2. The Salam Dang skytrain station is very close

We’ve recently mentioned how online gamers and MMORPG fans have initially confused the description of leading browser-based game Evony Free Forever with Ebony and Ebony Gaming.

Well, we’ve actually had another look at this recently and it seems there is actually another online game called The Ebony Game!

In an interesting and closely named riddle game, the Ebony game has been around for sometime and it seems this is adding to confusion and misunderstanding around players and MMO guru’s incorrectly hearing ‘ebony’ instead of ‘evony’ when they chat about the popular new online game that is free to play.

Evony Free Forever is a game owned by Evony LLC and is run out of China. The Ebony Riddle game can be accessed at the following URL for gamers interested in the simple word / puzzle game:

http://ebony.extra.hu/

For gamers wanting to signup for the newer Evony Game, you can access the official webpage at evony.com and be signed up for a free account usually within minutes. A valid email address is needed and if you enjoy the gameplay you can upgrade your account by purchasing gold game coins via paypal and get an edge over your mmo gaming enemies.

The trend for both the evony and ebony game is a growing one, with more and more game development going browser based. Gone are the days of software box drops where players play alone. Instant access games with strong graphics are now very popular and being developed by big gaming houses to capture strong subscription markets much in the mould of the successful World of Warcraft by Blizzard Interactive.

Below is the list (updated daily) of Phuket Hotel Discounts which make up some of the best Phuket Holiday Deals. You’ll see a range of prices from the most budget based hotels in Phuket through to classy 5 star resorts close to the beach in places such as Patong, Karon or Surin.

In many cases the popular hotels and guest houses around Patong and Phuket can be negotiated even further on price, however pre-booking will ensure you get a room and won’t suffer in times of low vacancy during high season tourism in Thailand.

Some of the best Phuket Deals are found slightly further back from the main beaches, lesser known hotel chains and resorts in Thailand will offer good specials as they compete with the big name hotels that line Beach Road in Patong.

After watching Anthony Perosh get bashed hardcore, I thought to myself ‘Has anyone died in the UFC?‘ But upon searching, it seems there hasn’t been any ‘official’ deaths in the main UFC competition.

It was an exciting MMA event, what seemed like a good quality card with some impressive light, welter and heavy weight fights. Watching the first fight in the Octagon between:

* Heavyweight Bout: Croatia Mirko Filipović vs. Australia Anthony Perosh

Filipović defeated Perosh via TKO (doctor stoppage) at 5:00 of round 2.

It was hard on Anthony Perosh, the Australian MMA fighter was a late call up after an initial fighter pulled out. Perosh rarely struck or made contact on Filipovic. And the Croat basically took it easy on Perosh, whenever Perosh went down – he was allowed to get up. Eventually Mirko Filipovic took Perosh out, a heavy elbow shot to the head splitting him open and the doctor stepping in to stop the fight.

In the second bout on the card:

    * Light Heavyweight Bout: United States Keith Jardine vs. United States Ryan Bader

Bader defeated Jardine via KO (punch) at 2:10 of round 3.

I really enjoyed this fight. I am new to UFC and don’t understand a lot of the rules. Bader was talked up in the Spike TV promo and he did live up to his billing. Jardine looked resilient and the kind of guy that could take a beating, but some eventual fast punching and a disguised flying kick from Bader saw Jardine knocked out with very little takedowns or groundfighting in this bout. Awesome to watch, Bader remains undefeated.

    * Lightweight Bout: United States Joe Stevenson vs. Australia George Sotiropoulos

Sotiropoulos defeated Stevenson via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

This was a good fight, not only for Soriopoulos’ ability, but the fact he had the Aussie crowd support. His ground fighting as impressive. He was always in control it seemed and Stevenson copped a few hits standing and on the ground. The ninjitsu background obviously helped Sotiropoulos in this UFC fight.

    * Middleweight Bout: Brazil Wanderlei Silva vs. England Michael Bisping

Silva defeated Bisping via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

I was keen to see Wanderlei Silva fight, again as I am new to UFC – I had seen the build up around Silva and had previously seen some of his fighting on occasion. After his operation and time off, his new nose and scar tissue from around the eye removed – he looked fresh. He had dropped a weight division and Bisping from the UK was loud and proud looking to take on and defeat a big name.

Bisping did well and had control for a good portion of this bout, but a late flurry of punches from Silva late in the final round saw Bisping knocked out and hitting the canvas in the Octogon. This particular attack from Silva winning him the fight no doubt.

    * Heavyweight Bout: Brazil Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. United States Cain Velasquez

Velasquez defeated Nogueira via KO (punches) at 2:20 of round 1.

The final bout between the legend Nogueira and newcomer Velasquez was amazing. The new kid on the block had the knockout early, with both fighters going ‘toe to toe’ and swinging punches big time. Velasquez got the connection and followed it up with a brutal flurry to ensure the champ was not coming back. Huge hitting and it had the Acer Arena crowd pumping in Sydney.

We look forward to hopefully seeing UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) back in Australia again soon. Judging by ticket sales, there was suggestion the box office for this event sold out as the 2nd quickest in UFC history? Amazing.

The Lord of Ultima Game has gone online, sharp graphics, amazing story lines it will please all MMO players from all corners of the world.

Build your own city and as your empire grows, take on opponents as you unleash war across the virtual lands. Recently opened to the MMORPG free online gaming market, the short time BETA has now closed with servers full and players lining up to get into the action.

Ultima (or UO) has been a hugely popular client based role playing game by Electronic Arts but this browser version is sure to see them catch up to the likes of Evony Free Forever and Grepolis from Innogames that are bringing millions of new gamers into the MMO space.

The previous client/server based (subscription model) for EA and Ultima Online has really run it’s course, with only Blizzards World of Warcraft a remaining player making big coin. The new model of browser based gaming is simply in overdrive and it’s smart of Electronic Arts to pickup on that.

The heritage of Ultima in the new form of Ultima Online is a great idea, gamers will warm to the brand that is already established and fall in love with the title all over again.

Lets hope more slots and invites for the BETA are opened and the official Lord of Ultima Online is open to all players soon.

A friend of mine introduced me to the Nitro Circus series on MTV recently and this thing is off the hook. The show is like the next phase of ‘Jackass’ and interestingly enough its produced with assistance from Johnny Knoxville of original Jackass fame.

The centerpiece of the Nitro Circus MTV show is freestyle motocross man Travis Pastrana who is joined by a host of other extreme sports guru’s that make this risky, funny unique show what it is. How old is Travis Pastrana? Well it seems like the FMX star has been around for ever, but his motorbike career went into overdrive when he topped the X-Games back in the late 1990’s with x-Games Gold in 1998.

But after Freestyle MX and Supercross success this latest TV show venture for Pastrana with Nitro Circus is impressive and could put him in the big leagues yet again.

So big the MTV show is, that is has totally blown the original Jackass theme out of the water and the TV audiences are screaming for more. Season 1 of Nitro Circus had some risky, killer stunts with heavy machinery, from motorbikes, trucks, base jumping and tricycle stunts and flips – it was crazy.

But the sidekicks in Nitro Circus help make the MTV sitcom even better, Streetbike Tommy Passemante is the chubby fat guy in Nitro Circus is hilarious, as is the Redneck that does guest appearances and also Jolene Van Vugt who as the girl of the show does well to keep up with this crazy bunch of guys. She is a top flight motocross racer and is totally fearless. She is the only chick in the world to successfully back flip a motorcycle.

Andy Bell and his rivalry and challenges to Pastrana are also very cool. Flipping (backflipping) a tricycle is just crazy, a kids toy bike is what we mean and Bell successfully did this over a 19 foot gap and landed the little dinky toy. Former motorcycle rider Bell dished it up to Travis and Pastrana replied back by a daredevil stunt down a massive skateboard ramp backflipping a tricycle and landing it from stupid heights to outdo Bell.

But the challenge didn’t stop there, Andy Bell proceeded to strap nitro bottles to the tricycle to jet propel himself into a backflip into a foam pit. Looked awesome and the trick itself was just great to watch.

Jim DeChamp has been a mate of Travis Pastrana since their days as kids in school. DeChamp is a professional mountain bike rider and freestyler.

Travis Pastrana and Jim DeChamp kicked off their crazy stunt life young boys on big wheels and BMX bikes and have move on to motorbikes, racing cars, off-road monstor trucks and anything else that goes fast and jumps far.

Erik Roner is a champion skier and base jumper, this guy knows skydiving and has passed on his skills to Pastrana in their basejumping stunts from massive heights, such as at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

And don’t forget the buck teeth redneck guy -

Hubert Rowland – who hails from the deep Tennessee woods. This hillbilly can built carts, tractors and fix bikes and stuff. You’ll laugh when you hear this guy talk!

My fav stunt is where Andy Bell straps nitro bottles onto the trike and backflips the thing, but some other good stunts involve freestyle motocross biking, with the likes of Ronnie Renner and co joining in. Everything from hot air balloon stunts, chariot racing involving 2-stroke motobikes, mini-bikes in tight positions and even road bikes being backflipped off tall jumps and quarter pipes.

This show is off the hook. In the video, check out the ‘Slip and Bleed’ the slide and slide waterslide in Travis Pastrana’s house, downhill into a pond. Also the video of the skydive by Travis without a parachute and he gets connected up via hooks and co-jumpers out of the place. amazing! Also the tricycle backflip attempts by Jolene, trav and andy bell on here too

Here’s some videos of the best Nitro Circus jumps on MTV:
