Why is my hair thinning in the front

I had a friend ask me the other day “Why is my hair thinning in the front?” – i tried hard not to laugh at him, but he was deadly serious.

Losing hair, commonly having your hair go thin at the front – is a worrying thing for many men of varying ages.

It will usually start in the mid-20’s for some men, others it will start later, in the later 30s.

The most common case of hair loss, is thinning in the front. Why? Well, there are a whole array of contributing factors which cause thinning hair at the front.

The first thing to check to save your hair from falling out, is to look into a ‘detox shampoo’. These special shampoos will give your hair a proper clean and wash away any nasty’s that have built up by using too much hair product such as wax, gel, mousse, cement or hairspray.

Many of these hairproducts will damage and cause your hair to start thinning at the front.

If left uncleaned, the damage is worse.

Another smart idea if your hair is thinning at the forehead, is to arrange a ‘free hair checkup’. Start with your local doctor who can refer you to the right specialist.

There are many specialist clinics out there, some are only out for profit and others may be genuinely out to help. You’ll need to do your research first, online and speak with friends or success stories you know.

Hairloss and thinning hair at the front of your head is different for everyone.

That is the rate of loss, the causes and the fix will all vary.

Doctors suggest a major cause of thinning hair at the front is a build up of testosterone. This build up could be caused by lack of exercise or say body building at the gym.

A cardio session is a great idea to get the blood flow happening on top of your head.

Another problem area is supposedly chlorine. If you regularly use a heavy chlorinated pool – this might be thinning your hair badly and quickly. So try to cut out various things that may be working against your hair growth.

Suggestions from others that have recovered from thinning hair at the front – has been to lighting comb, brush or massage that part of the hair on head regularly – at night or before bed.

Not too hard, so as to the hair falls out – but a gentle regular brushing can help put more life into the hair.

Finally, besides the cures for thinning hair at the front – look to try and work a better suited hairstyle which can hide thinning hair.

Use special hair product made for hairloss or hair thinning, it can add more volume to the hair and camouflage the thinned or hairloss sections of your head. Cut or brush your hair to suit the amount of hair on your head.

When is it time to shave your head?

Well, if your thinning hair is extremely bad – then shaving or going bald might be a good option if you have the right shaped head.

Sometimes a clean shaven head can look better than a mangy head with badly and quickly thinning hair on top.
