Mail Order Wife
It’s still surprising to see how many men and women are seeking true love, on-going dating or a fulfilling marriage.
As lifestyles get more hectic and inter-racial marriages become more accepted, the growth in such things as a mail order wife has seemingly grown at ever-faster rates.
Men are looking abroad for attractive, trustworthy partners to make their future wives. And from the other side of the equation, women in various parts of the world such as Russia, Ukraine, Asia and Latin America are willing to offer themselves to a bridegroom on the other side of the world for the benefits of finance and an improved quality of life.
The mail order wife term probably originated from the concept surrounding Russian-brides. During the period leading up to the cold-war, life in Russia was limiting for some females and they sought an ‘out’ and in many cases an arranged marriage may have been the only war for them to leave the Communinst Regime.
In parts of South East Asia, the Mail Order Wife is happening regularly in such countries as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and China.
With low weekly wages and hardships for young women, they are looking abroad too for a husband to marry – hence, receiving support for them and the family.
To assist with a mail order wife, there are such businesses as marriage brokers who will ensure that the agreement and eventual marriage is legal in the various countries and will also assist in arranging such things as passports for the lady to leave the country, relevant documents to ensure everything is official.
Interestingly in the USA, there has been limitations placed on the whole mail order wife scene but the Bush Government, see the comment below:
“The International Marriage Regulation Act (IMBRA). The new law severely limits a man’s ability to date and marry a latin bride and a asian bride plus a russian bride”.
Stats in the USA suggest that an arranged marriage (regardless of race) have a success rate of 80%.
