Hi my name is Robert Barclay I am from the UK and on the 20th of August 2008 I spent $1,000 with Neenco on a link capaign which promised me 750 forum posts in 250 different forums.

Upon looking on forumlinkbuilding.com and reading all the information on there I was very confident I had found a site I could work with and benefit from for many years and also save me lots of time in my link building campaigns.

How wrong could i be…

I sent an email to the company asking if i could speak to someone in regards to a link building programme via msn, within a couple of hours a very friendly Youssef who went through the packages in great detail. I informed Youssef that I had a fair amount of SEO experience and that the importance of relevant links was important to me and that the site I was wanting to promote was a “Weight Loss” site. Youssef fully understood the importance of relevant inbound links and assured me that the link builders will only be posting links from sites that share the same category.

I took the bait and paid my $998 for the agreed package, I filled in an excell spreadsheet of the keywords, links and anchor text to be used on the links and emailed it accross to Julia my “Dedicated Project Manager” I was then told my campaign had been parked and would be put live within a couple of weeks, I was thrown back as they told me they would be able to complete the campaign in 45 Days, I said i wanted my campaign starting as soon as possible so they sent me a link to another page were i could pay an additional fee of $100 to get my project started quicker! I informed Youssef i was not happy about this and he said not to worry about payment he will schedule my project to start straight away.

* Neenco did not deliver on their linking service and were hard to contact most times.

So the promise was:

750 Links from 250 Forums
All relevant to my Weight Loss Category
All posts will be useful posts no spam at all
All posts will come from google indexed thread
Weekly update reports
2000 to Directories which have high PR up to PR9
50 Deep Link submissions to High PR directories
50 Social Bookmarking Submissions
13 SEO Services such as:
Site History Valuation
Link Building Reports
Link Replacement
SERP Ranking and Analysis
Keyword Tracking and Reporting
SEO Knowledge Sharing
Plus so much more the list is endless.

What did i get?

16th September 2008

I contacted Neenco/Youssef as i had not heard anything at all back from them and wanted to know how they were getting on, they replied on the 19th September to tell me my “Project Manager”Julia would send me the report very soon..

23rd of September 2008

Receive an excell spreadsheet report which shows 99 Links achieved, i checked these links and I was appauled and fuming!

1. All posts came from Tech Support Forums
2. All posts were one of few identical posts which were:

a “Hi im new here”

b “my computer makes a funny beeping noise”

c “5 great SEO Tips”

d “i am after a new PC needs to be this low spec and i have a budget of $2k” (why would you want to pay $2k for a low spec computer?)

Also some posts were done on the same page that others were spamming Gambling and Pornography links.

I approached Neenco and explained that these posts were a disgrace and they told me that it doesnt matter that they are in non relevant forum it still an inbound link, I did not agree and emphasised that Quality is better than Quantity when it comes to links they tried to cover up saying it wasnt an issue, and that there are no forums on the internet that are in the health/diet/fitness sectors which are not using the no follow attribute which i found very hard to believe.

Out of the 99 Links 25 of them had already been deleted, and not one of them had been indexed by google, a couple of the complete forums had not been indexed!

I then continued to ask for updates over the coming months and each time i would get told the report was on its way, it never was.

Neenco/Youssef/Julia used many excuses for my campaign not being finished from

“Severe Storms in the Ukraine have severed our internet connection” to

“our Checking tool was broken”

“Julia has the report for you but she is off as she is really ill”

I pushed Neenco constantly through November and December and then on the 22nd of December I received another excell Spreadsheet and it had 378 Links achieved, I checked the first 99 and they had not updated the spreadsheet, all of the links which had already been deleted were still listed even though i informed Neenco that most of the links had already marked as spam and removed, the rest of the spreadsheet was pretty much identical to the first report.

Same poor quality non related links using poor quality posts of “Hi im new here”

To date it is the 19th of January 2009, 5 months since I gave Neenco $1000 and in return i have less than 100 active links due to the other rubish ones being deleted by the forums, I look forward to the day that these 100 are also deleted because I am embarrased for anyone to see them and think that the poster has any connection to my clients website.

Never received any of the directory submissions or the SEO Tools, Keyword Analysis, “SEO Knowledge Sharing” (well actually they certainly shared that, because they no nothing)

Please read this and take note of the total mess and damage Neenco can do not just to your bank balance but to your companies website reputation do not waste your money with Neenco.

If you want quality posts I would recommend that you do them yourself to be on the safe side!

Also Neenco contacted me within one week of me paying and asked me to write a testimonial for them and i would get 15 more links built! I told them when you have done your work you will get my Testimony for FREE and here it is.

Also the technique of keeping your money is they string out the first report beyond the time you can get a refund via paypal, so once you realise they are making a hash of your project its too late to get your money back via paypal protection.

If Neenco have a problem with this post that is fine, I hope they do, because it will be getting posted everywere that neenco promote there services for the rest of this year.

This is a completely Genuine post which I am prepared to backup legally if so required my office number is UK +44 800 635878

Kind Regards

Rob Barclay

* Rob was refunded all his money by Neenco shortly after this post.
