Meshed Blog Linking - does it work?

As authorities continue to crack down hard on paid linking online, is there any value in simply purchasing links to boost search engine rankings? The first thing is, you simply can't add bulk amounts of backlinks as that immediately sets off a flag and your site or blog will eventually be penalized.

An alternative to buying backlinks is to purchase a batch of blog reviews from the likes of Smorty.com or Payperpost.com - this method is quite expensive and the purchaser buys reviews from hundreds of bloggers that will provide 150-250 words in addition to just a backlink which is more powerful and safer in the eyes of a search engine.

While buying reviews seems safer, the cost certainly makes it hard for most users to take advantage of this kind of service.

Thats where Meshed Blog Linking comes in.

While not a new idea, meshed blog linking involves building over a dozen blogs over a few platforms such as blogger.com, thumblogger.com or orble.com - any of these platforms will do or others if you prefer. Once you've created your blogs, make sure you post a few 150+ word posts for a week or two and get your blog indexed by linking from one of your already listed sites.

As you link to each blog and get them all indexed, try to formulate one single post every fortnight to keep the blogs fresh in the search engines eyes. Once they're all indexed and carrying a little bit of link juice, you can then write a post across all blogs and link that back on a certain keyword to your main site. The results are quite amazing, I tried this on one of my sites and a link from a dozen of sites in my blogroll took me from top 20 in Google to the Top 5 in less than a week - quite powerful.

So instead of buying links, or building basic back links - build a meshed blog network and watch your flagship site grow in the SERPS.
